A Middle/High School Mountain Bike Team in North County San Diego

Nighthawks Cycling (NhC) is an inclusive club working to bring the excitement and enjoyment of mountain biking to local high school students, middle school students, and their families. Through shared experiences in the great outdoors, we develop positive life long habits, foster personal growth, and encourage positive social connections by participating in team sport.

Woah, High School Mountain Biking!

That’s right! We ride and race Cross Country (XC) mountain bikes in the SoCal Youth Cycling League. We have riders from a number of local high schools and middle schools in North County San Diego including, Del Norte, Mount Carmel, Westview, Rancho Bernardo, Poway, and more!

We welcome riders with all levels of abilities and goals. From just beginning to ride to the most dedicated racer, there is a place for all.

More than just sending jumps

We build skills and fitness in a variety of fun ways. First, we ride in awesome places such as Penasquitos Canyon, Lake Hodges, Daley Ranch, Black Mountain, Del Sur, Bradley Bike Park, Vail Lake and more. Second, we focus on skills and fitness, helping riders progress during the season. We work on developing the whole rider, not just one set of skills.
